Touchwood UK was founded in 1993 by Steve Harding and is a family-run business specialising in hand made bespoke kitchens, bedrooms, furniture & interiors. We do everything possible to ensure our customers receive an excellent level of service. We have run our business from Martlesham, Suffolk for a number of years now and opened a new showroom in Ipswich in February 2015 to give ourselves more space to showcase our kitchens and furniture.
We manufacture our kitchens, bedrooms, furniture & interiors for any customer wherever they may be, although we do limit our fitting to within a 60-mile radius of Ipswich, Suffolk. All our hand-made products are made in England using only the finest English, European and American timbers sourced from sustainable forests. Although we have a large portfolio of products, our speciality is that we can make almost anything to our customer’s exact specification and design.
We deal with the general public and trade and our UK showroom is open to both trade and the general public.
Visit our Ipswich showroom (click here for directions) to see for yourself some of our kitchen ranges, handmade bespoke kitchens, fitted bedrooms and furniture. Have a cup of tea or coffee with us and an initial chat. You do not need to make any decisions at this stage – it is just an opportunity for you to find out more about what we can offer and for us to understand what you are after.
If you have come to us for a kitchen, or for fitted furniture, we will then arrange a home visit with either Martin or Steve, our kitchen and furniture designers. They will carry out an initial measure of your space and discuss with you in further detail your likes and dislikes and how you intend to use your kitchen. If you are having an extension or a barn conversion, please book an appointment with one of our designers and bring along your architect’s plans/drawings.
We will then create a design to suit your needs and Martin, our design expert, will prepare CAD plans so you can visualise what your kitchen or fitted furniture will look like. Once you are happy with the layout, we will then discuss styles, colours, appliances and finishes and provide you with a confirmed price.
When you decide to proceed, you will pay a deposit and we will arrange a suitable time of appointment to carry out a detailed survey if you are having a kitchen. We will then agree with you a proposed date to begin installation. Your kitchen will either be ordered or it will be manufactured at our workshops by our own master craftsmen, depending on whether you chose a kitchen from one of our many ranges, or a bespoke handmade kitchen.
On the first day of installation, our kitchen fitters, will come and remove any existing structures, as discussed and begin work on installing your new kitchen. If you ordered any appliances through ourselves, we will either ensure you receive any documents and warranties relating to these once the kitchen is completed, or in the case of certain appliance brands, we will register these for you.
